Soaking Up Patio Days with Fall Fun at LLWC 🍷
/We are smack in the middle of the 2026 vintage. All of our grapes should be in the building and fermenting the week of October 5th. This year the harvest portion came quick. Typically we’re still picking grapes well into October. This vintage came from vineyards all over Red Mountain including some new to us vineyards – WeatherEye and Quintessence. Along with these new vineyards, we’re trying new clones and new barrels all in an effort to make the best wine for you.
But just because the grapes are here doesn’t mean that the harvest season is over. We still have many days of press ahead of us. Press is the point at which the grape juice has fermented into wine, we remove the skins and seeds, and put the wine into the barrel. This happens either on our crush pad in the parking lot or in the production room. Make sure you’re following along with our stories on social media. We post our up-to-date winemaking in action there. Stop in to see the behind the scenes of our winemaking philosophy.
Along with the winemaking, we have lots of fun events this month both on and off site (and a Member only Carmenere dinner). We hope to see you soon!
Upcoming Events
Ferrante’s Wine Tasting – South Hill
Saturday, October 3rd, 3 – 4:30 pm
Join Sarah for a special wine tasting at Ferrante’s Marketplace Café. Rather than serving the typical Cab Sauv and Red Blends you find at most tastings, Sarah & Marissa (of Ferrante’s) curated a lineup to include Blanc de Blanc, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Malbec (and maybe a little extra something too).
If you haven’t visited this South Hill favorite, this is a great opportunity. They have great food, great wine (our Chardonnay is on their glass pour menu), and a fun retail shop.
Wine House Sparkling Pop-Up – Coeur d’Alene
Wednesday, October 14th
Sarah’s excited to team up with TJ from the Wine House to offer a special on Tahija. Blanc de Blanc glass pours. CDA friends mark your calendars; details to come!
Happy HalloWINE – Halloween Isn’t Just For Kids
October 29th – 31st we’ll be offering a special wine flight (all reds) paired with Halloween candy. $20 for the flight, refunded with a bottle purchase, Wine Club Member flights are free.
