Spring Release Weekend Is Here!

The patio is open, the chilled wines are flowing, we have 2 new releases to share, Sowing Joy Farm is bringing the bouquets, and a there’s sparkling special. It’s the perfect time to bring in your guests that are visiting or to celebrate the Mom in your life this weekend. 
 
Last week, we released our ’22 Cabernet Franc (Sarah’s favorite) & ’22 Syrah Reserve (Lori’s favorite). We held a friendly competition to see which wine would win, and we’re excited to report that Cabernet Franc won by 11 bottles. The competition was close. Both Sarah & Lori enjoyed a glass of each and can report that they’re both amazing wines. Gold medal winning as with the entire 2022 vintage, stop in and try these wines ASAP.
 
This weekend we’re excited to have bouquets fromSowing Joy Farm, our neighbors to the east. Ondrea and her team make exceptional flower arrangements that we’ve proudly displayed in our tasting room over the past year. We’ll be selling bouquets for $35 each, and trust us when we say you’ll want one for yourself or to gift. Respond to this email to reserve yours. Wine Club Members, we’ll have them in the tasting room on Thursday, and they’ll be available to the public on Friday.
 
This weekend only we’re offering a 2 bottle pack of our Tahija. Blanc de Blanc for $40! Yes, that’s $40 for 2 bottles of this sparkling favorite. Pages & Pours our new Book Club adjacent monthly feature
Monday, May 18th, 5-7:30 pm
Join Sarah for LLWC Pages & Pours, an invitation to anyone to stop in each month to talk about books, trade books, meet new people interested in books, or if you prefer, a time to read a book. The next date is May 18th from 5-7:30. Drop in anytime during those hours for a glass of wine (we won’t be offering flights on these nights) and meet others interested in books. And look for information coming about our June Pages & Pours where we’ll be featuring 3 local authors.

Mimosa Sunday, May 24th
We’re featuring a Mimosa Flight each month this summer, May-August. May-July we’ll enjoy a special flight of 3 mimosas and you’ll vote for your favorite. The August flight will be the 3 favorites. May’s Mimosa Flight includes Mai Tai, Strawberry Lemonade, and Orange. $15 (+tax) for the flight and $10 for a glass.

Friday Happy Hour 5-8 pm
We’re continuing with Friday Happy Hours each week. Each week we offer $2 off all glass pours of red wine from 5-8 pm. Join us for a glass and kickstart your weekend!

Girl Scout Cookie & Wine Pairing This Weekend at LLWC

Taste WA Wine Month continues with a Girl Scout Cookie & Wine Flight, the patio is open, and we start bottling in two weeks! Stop in and see the fun.

Our 8 year old niece Libby became a Girl Scout a few years and how could we resist when she asked us to buy cookies. We’re pairing 5 cookies with 5 wines. It’s $5 for Wine Club Members and $25 for non-members ($20 is refunded with a bottle purchase). We have a limited supply, so stop in early to get your cookie flight!

Wine Club News

We’re on week 2 of our LLWC Wine Bracket. The first round’s big upset was Merlot winning over Tempranillo, which busted most of the staffs’ brackets. Only Carol, Khristina, and Jim remain in the running for staff. 27% of Members are still in the running with perfect brackets. Members make sure to stop in this Thursday to cast your vote on which wines move to round 3!

It's TASTE WA WINE Month! Join Us for Fun at LLWC

March is here and that means bottling our 2024 vintage is about to start! As a small production winery we do everything by hand, including filling and corking each bottle we create. New to our 2024 line up is Mourvèdre that’s an exciting addition (perhaps hinting at a GSM in our future). Plus it’s Taste WA Wine month, and we have lots of great things lined up at the winery and at locations in the Spokane/CDA area. Make sure you’re following us on Facebook and Instagram for up-to-date info on bottling. 
 
Thanks to everyone who packed the winery last fall when Visit Spokane came to film our wine story. We were chosen as a Maker by Visit Spokane for their In-Spo series. Seasons of CDA Wine Dinner

We’re excited to be invited by Seasons of CDA to their March wine dinner. This 5 course dinner paired with our wines is a steal at $100/person (all inclusive). Mark & Sarah will be on-hand to discuss the wines and join in the meal. We’ve received a lot of questions about the LLWC Book Club. Sarah started the club in September 2016, and it’s been going strong ever since. So strong in fact that when the email list got to over 50 members and book club nights topped 30, she knew she had to scale back. Because in this book club, people actually wanted to discuss the book (and maybe drink some wine too). 
 
That’s why she’s created LLWC Pages & Pours, an invitation to anyone to stop in each month to talk about books, trade books, meet new people interested in books, or if you prefer, a time to read a book. This won’t be on a specific day each month, but it will be posted on social media and in newsletters. The first date is March 18th from 5-7:30. Drop in anytime during those hours for a glass of wine (we won’t be offering flights on these nights) and meet others interested in books. 
(please note, you do not have to be a wine club member to join on these nights)

LLWC Takes on Bordeaux!
Yes, that’s right, we’re going on a river cruise in France and we want YOU to join us! We, along with 9 other PNW wineries, are taking over a ship to set sail along the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers with Ignite-U Travel*. This trip is not until July 29, 2027, but the next informational Zoom call is March 18th and 19th. For more information and to get a link to the zoom call visit here and sign up.
