First 2016 Vintage Arrives at LLWC!

April, what an exciting time at the winery. The sun will hopefully allow us to sit on the deck and the longer days mean sunset views of the lake. We’re racking the 16’ vintage into their final resting places for the year, and it is the perfect time to celebrate spring at the winery with exciting new releases, art, music, and more.

First Friday Fun! Friday, April 7th 4-8 p.m.
Join us for First Friday. Original music by the very talented Wyatt Wood, photography by Jeff O’Shea, and our newest wine release – the 2016 Dry Riesling out of the prestigous Red Willow vineyard. Music starts at 5, but get there early to grab a seat. Bring an appetizer and enjoy the evening.

LLWC Book Club! Tuesday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m.
The book, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mande, is a story about the relationships that sustain us, the ephemeral nature of fame, and the beauty of the world as we know it.

Synopsis: One snowy night a famous Hollywood actor slumps over and dies onstage during a production of King Lear. Hours later, the world as we know it begins to dissolve. Moving back and forth in time—from the actor's early days as a film star to fifteen years in the future, when a theater troupe known as The Travelling Symphony roams the wasteland of what remains—this suspenseful, elegiac, spellbinding novel charts the strange twists of fate that connect five people: the actor, the man who tried to save him, the actor's first wife, his oldest friend, and a young actress with the Traveling Symphony, caught in the crosshairs of a dangerous self-proclaimed prophet.

(Everyone is welcome at book club and reading the book is not a requirement.)

March… In like a lion, out like a lamb.

With an upcoming forecast predicting some more winter like weather, we’re hoping March comes in like a lion but goes out like a lamb. Either way, the winery is cozy with a great view to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. And hopefully the weather improves and the view can be enjoyed from the deck.
